The Partner Institute:Leadership Development Model
A Structured Development Experience
As our development model illustrates, participants are immersed in a structured development experience that brings together ongoing feedback and collaboration with instructors, coaches, firm sponsors, and peers.
TPI Learner
The participant is at the center of the program and accountable for their own growth. While TPI provides a rich, multi-format learning experience, it’s up to each participant to fully engage and apply what they learn.
Participants are expected to actively participate in all aspects of the program, maintain an Individual Development Plan, step outside their comfort zone to apply new skills, and provide ongoing feedback to sponsors, coaches, and instructors.
TPI Coach
Each participant is supported by a dedicated coach throughout the program,
providing guidance, accountability, and support.
The coach helps participants develop and refine their individual development plan,
assess progress, identify actions for growth, and apply learning in real-world situations.
They also encourage participants to step outside their comfort zone and maintain strict
confidentiality in all discussions.
TPI Instructors
TPI instructors deliver expert-led sessions designed to build critical leadership skills.
They bring deep industry knowledge, facilitate engaging learning experiences, and
provide frameworks that support ongoing development and accountability.
Peer Network
Participants build a peer network within their cohort that supports learning and growth throughout the program and beyond.
Peers share best practices, provide support between sessions, and foster accountability—while developing lasting relationships that continue well after the program ends.
TPI Sponsor
Each participant should have an internal firm sponsor, typically a Partner, who serves as a mentor throughout the program.
The sponsor provides guidance, offers feedback, and helps ensure the participant has the support and resources needed to maximize learning and impact within the firm.
